Google AssistantI'm a Google kind of guy. We had two Echo devices, and they were so limited in what it will answer correctly, or even answer at all. I gave one away. Since most of my family has Android phones, I bought the Google Home when it first came out. IT IS GREAT!!! It can actually answer questions! We now have two Google Mini's in addition to the first Google Home. We use it to play music, answer random questions and to turn on/off the Philips Hue lights, Kasa lights/plugs or Geeni lights/plugs. I've even used IFTTT, Adafruit.io and a micro-controller to turn on and off a pool pump just by saying "Hey Google, turn on the pump." (details here: https://www.hackster.io/xenophod/adding-voice-control-to-omega2-752695 )
The great thing about Google is that I can access the assistant on my phone which will affect the things in my house, even if I'm not home. I'm not sure if Alexa does that. I've pretty much abandoned Alexa, so I'm not sure if they've updated the app to do that.

Amazon AlexaFor me, it's a personality thing - and I reckon that's something you'll be able to tailor with voice assistants in future. I haven't used GA much recently, but when I was first evaluating Google Home I found it too chatty, jolly and chummy. I don't need another friend. Alexa is a bit more functional and - dare I say it - subservient; there to get stuff doneHead of Product at Fing0

Amazon AlexaAlexa, although Google's starting to grow on me a bit. If only they'd lose the "Hey" or "OK Google" and go with Minerva......train, crashin' head long into the heartland...Pushing Good Music #PGM www.livemusicreview.co.uk6

Apple Siri
I’ve used Alexa, Google Home and Siri.
Alexa is only good because of the deep third party support. It is really only smart when you learn how to talk to her correctly. Triggering skills requires you to speak unnaturally. Alexa applies very little actual AI to figuring out what you actually mean.
Google Home is pretty good. It understands you pretty well most of the time, but I find a lot of that is only as good as the data you let Google use of yours. The functionality took a dive when I cleared out most of the data Google has on me. I’m not referring to the fact that Google no longer knows where I work (for example), but I’ve seen a drop in actually understanding what I’m asking for. However, if you keep your entire life in Google, Home can be great.
Siri has spent a lot of time trying to improve truly natural language processing. I find I can say things in more natural ways and it understands what I want. However, I find Siri slower than Google Home and there are certain things Siri can’t do that other services can and that can be frustrating. But they are working on improving it. The voice has really improved in the upcoming iOS release and it sounds better than Google Home.
As for security and privacy, none of them are great, but Siri does have the edge here.

Personally, I'd have voted for none. The one I trust the most is Siri, however that's pretty much like me also stating I trust a politician to look out for my best interests as a citizen... I find them all to be somewhat reprehensible at best - either due to lack of usefulness or awful security.People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.1

Google AssistantGoogle home all the way! We have 3 google mini and use them all the time. Setting timers, playing music, googling recipes and stuff, controlling my smart devices.
Google assistant in my phone is also a MUST everyday for me, from making calls, reminding me things, finding things for me, and taking me from place to another.1 -
