Like it or lump it, nuclear waste is an issue we need to deal with. However given it's toxicity over the next million years, even when stored deep underground, the dangers presents unique challenges in how we communicate this to our ancestors?


Especially when pretty much everything we come to accept as language and communication, is liable to be a long lost forgotten memory...

    Ars Technica covered it recently as well...  @kltaylor I doubt the powers that be will ever take a serious enough interest in it till something happens.  As long as one country remains blind to it, it will remain status quo and I'm not just talking about the one I live in.

    ...and even then, they would turn it into a political piece to further their own agenda's.  I saw a documentary where they "prove" that even if you change your carbon footprint, it's not enough to start reversing the damage. 
    I've made a lot of decisions and upgrades on my home, one of the investments was having 30 solar panels installed on my roof.  I really don't care if it's insignificant scientifically, it has to start with someone so it may as well be me.
