Fingbox's ignoring DnD mode

I have this setting on both my v1 and v2 Fingboxes:

However both Fings seem to ignore this setting, on my v1 the ring is a steady blue, on the v2 the dome is a consistent blue glow.

Both boxen are running 1.14.5, and the App is 8.3.1 on iOS 12.4, iPhone 7+

On both boxen when I do change the settings, the lights flicker accordingly but then stay on, no matter the DnD setting..

Am I missing something here, or is this a bug?

    Interesting, should the LEDs being turned off when "do not disturb" is activated?
    I noticed that when "do not disturb" is turned on, the LEDs are dimmed to lower brightness. When it's needed (new device or so), LED-brightness is original brightness again. But LEDs are not turned off during "do not disturb" is activated.

    @mozarella I believe they should be turned off completely unless they're indicating a warning or other change of status.

    Hi @Pooh
    @mozarella is right when DND feature is enabled the lights are dimmed to lowest brightness and when some activity happens on Fingbox then it brightens back to normal and after the event is dealt with or seen, return back to dim lights again.

    Lowest level @Robin? I'd argue that whilst that may be the intent, for the user is should be as I described. We already have a dimming setting - we really should have something that turns the lights off unless there's a warning etc. As it stands it doesn't make much sense from a user perspective.

    As @Pooh described it was how I thought it would work and was surprised when I saw how it actually functioned.

    @Marc - I kinda assumed with the phrasing "Turn LEDs on only when attention is required" (emphasis mine). This would signify they'd be OFF otherwise, right?  ;)

    @Robin, @VioletChepil your thoughts?

    Assuming we have a difference of opinion with fing as to how this should function, aka our take versus Fings, wonder if a poll would work out here? Q. Should DND shut the leds off until an alert or action is detected?

    Just voted! And this thread explains finally why I've seen no result of DnD... I had my Fing Box set to lowest possible level by slider :-)
    Great discussion!

    @VioletChepil any chance of promoting the poll I referenced above?
