Hi,
can anyone explain why the banner says there is a vulnerability but the detail says none found?

    @RoyMilano, I moved this to the Fing App section for better visibility.  Tagging @Robin from Fing to see if he can shed some light on what the error means specifically.

    The banner usually comes up when there is an open port or upnp is enabled on your router. If none of the ports are open then you should not see this banner. Can you please run the scan again and see if the error appears again? Are you running any VPN as well? Thanks

    Hi Robin,
     
    it come up every time I run the test.

    Apple has NAT-PMP ( UPnP) enabled by default making it easier for enabling home automation devices ( lights, locks and others) without having to manually opening ports.

    Otherwise NAT is enabled and all inbound ports are disabled by default.

    The warning could be related to NAT-PMP ( UPnP). I will seek further advice on this and get back to you with an update. In meantime, If you have any other device on which you can install the Fing app and run then please check if the same results show or not?

    I have run it from the fing app on my iPhone and iPad both giving the same result.

    We released a new Fing app version. Can you upgrade to latest version and then check if the issue persists? Thanks

    Thanks @RoyMilano for troubleshooting.

    I would like you to follow these steps: 

     

    1) Turn off the router/extenders and Fingbox 

    2) Wait for a minute or two. 

    3) Make the connection of Fingbox with the router directly if not done already. If you are using an extender/switch, then make the connection with it. 

    4) Only Turn on the router and then wait for another minute or Two. 

    5) Turn on the other network device like Switch/Extenders and then wait for a minute or two. 

    6) Turn on the Fingbox and then re-install the Fing App after clearing up the cache as well. 

    7) Sign in with the Fing App 

     Please check if the issue persists?
