Incorrect device manufacturer

Hello,

My Hunter smart fan is identified as an iRobot product. I am able to change the icon (no fan icon, boo), but it's now listed as iRobot/Fan. Anyway to fix?

    This is what is known as a device mis-match. The best thing to do is teach the Fing algorithm that this is incorrectly identified by inserting as much details as you possible can.
    I'd suggest for this one to put the icon as: "smart device." You can also request new features on Fing app here: https://community.fing.com/categories/feature-requests
    Essentially when more users fill the engine with the right details the algorithm can be updated/improved.
    It does take some time for this to fix through machine learning I believe.
    I'm checking with other team members on this too.

    Thanks for your response. It wasn't clear to me that updating the info helps Fing "learn" what the device info is. I'll change the info in my app.

    Thanks a lot @djc. This fix can be quite slow. But it does improve with time but I'm aware that some cases took quite a few months to resolve.
