Fing not opening on click

A week or so ago I reinstalled Fing again because it wasn't opening the icon any time I clicked on it, plus there was an earlier version that would not delete. After reinstalling once more it finally got rid of the older version, but still seldom opens when I want it to. It only opens after it shows an alert and I click the alert.
Should I just delete the app and move on to something else?
