Good Day
I'm looking for some help.
i need to monitor my clients network to see what device is using the most data.
I've tried following these instructions, but the options isn't even available.

I do have a fully paid account as well.

@SCIT, you don’t need a paid account to utilize this feature.  You need a Fingbox registered to your account thats on the network the device you want to analyze.

Can you confirm that you do and if you do post of a screenshot of what your seeing?

    Hi Marc
    Thank you for your reply.
What screen shot do you need?
I have a fingbox on my network, but i'm not sure if its set up correctly.
if i try and add it, it says that its already added to my account.
Please let me know what i can send you to confirm.
    Thank you very much

    Hi @SCIT
As you follow the article to use Bandwidth Analysis, first I want to know if you are logged in with Fingbox account or not. You can check under account settings if you see the Fingbox name or you can check from the All networks tab if you see Fingbox connected.

    Hi Guys
Thanks for the advice. I don't even see the bandwidth analysis option anywhere. I use the phone App and have used the desktop app as well.
I pick up the Fingbox on the network, but its like i cant access the feature i need.
We only recently bought the device to try and help clients. Could it be that the device was linked to another email account in our organization and now it cant properly link to my account? I have done a hard reset on the device as well, but not sure if Fing links the MAC to an email until released?
    I'm a bit baffled.

    Hi @SCIT
Can you DM me the MAC address of the Fingbox with the picture of Fingbox displaying the MAC address so I can guide you if it is linked to your account or not?

    Thanks @SCIT
Can you please confirm the answers to the questions below so I can investigate better?
    • Do you see error messages on the screen? (on the bottom of the screen)
    • Does the app goes to background mode?
    • Does the device screen goes black (sleep mode)
    • Are you using WiFi or cellulare connection?
    • Did you select your own device during the Bandwidth analysis measurement?

    Hi Robin
    Thanks for your reply.
I'm going to close this thread for now as i will just be using my ubiquiti firewall to inspect traffic.
I thought it would be easier to use the fingbox, but i'm much more comfortable with the Unifi Security Gateway.
Thanks again for your willingness to help.

    Robin
