So I finally received my fingbox and I love it, however I need to remove it from the lounge as the wife does not appreciate the look of it! 🤣

Is it absolutely necessary to have it plugged as close to the router as possible or can I plug it into a switch within my network architecture?

I’ve also ordered a Unify USG gateway so that will hopefully be the final piece of my network security puzzle. Have any fingbox users had issues combining these two devices or do they work well together?

    Hi @beanbaguk , you can plug it into a switch as long as the switch is attached to the router.  What you don't want is to attach the Fingbox to a mesh node or range extender.

    For your other questions, maybe @rooted , @kltaylor , @Robin have some experience with it?

    Thanks Marc. That's good news. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to Cat7 my home during a fairly recent renovation so avoid mesh nodes and use WLAN AP's instead. Just plugged it in and it works perfectly.
