Hi @cherry13
Thanks for your post. You can try to click on the device and then you will see an option to "Recognise" the device which will provide you with an IP address and then it will try to recognise the device once you enter that address on the browser. Generic devices are those devices for which Fing was not able to identify the vendor and what kind of device it is. If there is any device in your house which is using any kind of internet(Wifi) then Fing App can show you all devices connected on your network. You can use this external link to know about the vendor of the device: https://aruljohn.com/mac/F45EABThe Fing App discovery will identify devices on a best effort basis, based on the information made available by the device, e.g. the MAC address. There are numerous reasons why the device might not be recognized correctly e.g.
- The DHCP server is not refreshing when speaking to your Fing App.
- Limited information being offered by specific devices.

hello,
Thank you both, I have searched the internet and there is not much information about this device. All I could find was the name of the company (Icomm HK limited) which manufactured the device. There is not much info about the company either, I don't know what kind of products they make.
Should I be worried about this? Can the unknown device spy on my computer and get my personal info?

I don't think you need to be worried about it.
If you use the find app on your phone, if you go the list of the devices then click on the device in question. <-- Step 1
then in the "manage this device" section click on "Find open ports"
Do you find any ports open?0 -
How to block unknown
device from my WiFi?

Initially, I would like to confirm if you have a Fingbox or not. The Fing App is a free network scanning App. In order to block devices from joining a network, you will need a Fingbox. Fingbox is an external hardware that plugs into your router and gives you enhanced visibility, security and control over your network. To find out more: https://www.fing.com/products/fingbox/.
If you have a Fingbox, I would like to confirm if you are connected to the Fing App with the account on which the Fingbox is associated. You can verify this by going into the Fing App settings and checking the name of the Fingbox. Alternatively, if you see three tabs on the bottom of the main app display: 'Devices', 'Network', & 'People', this will indicate that your Fing App is associated with a Fingbox. If it is the correct account and you can see your Fingbox, then please follow these links for articles relating to device blocking:
