Link on "You earned [xyz] badge" email broken / wrong

We all receive emails from this community celebrating:
"You earned the First Comment badge." or some such.
There is a "Check it out" button on the email. When you click on that, you are directed to a web page stating:

Please check the URL on the email or the web site for configuration issues.
