Sorry if this is answered but I did try several searches to no avail.
Is there any special functional meaning to calling a device IMPORTANT or FAVORITE?  Or are these just two flags that we can use how we wish?   Maybe someone can share any creative uses of these two flags.
Please advise.

Hi @1pitch1spot, thanks for your question.
Those flags are to be used as you have a need for them.  In my network, I mark devices as 'important' that has a specific function for the environment, such as servers or services.

I don't use 'favorite' much but those devices typically would show up in a favorites section as a quick-reference POV.

Thank you!  Was just wondering if there was any functionality tied to these.  For example, I think in the Domotz world, if you flag a device as important, you get notifications when the device goes offline.

You're absolutely correct with Domotz.  I do believe that FIngbox (since it's a sister company to Domotz) would do the same given that the device hosts something 'important' to the functionality of your network.

Yes, it does, those that I have marked as important will send me a notification if its status changes.
