Link and QR code provided when Automatic Recognition is chosen don't work

When I click Recognize for a device in the Devices list and then click the Automatic button, the QR code and the URL provided do not work. The address provided is http://192.168.1.2:1034 (the QR code resolves to the same address, of course). This address is on my LAN and is the IP for the PC I'm currently using.

    Hi,
Can you share screenshot of the pages so I can isolate the issue?

Here's the screen shot. The QR code and the URL shown are the same regardless of the device.

    Thanks @mbrazil
When you enter the IP address on the browser then what message do you see? Can you share screenshot of that as well?

I don't get any message at all. A new empty tab opens and never loads anything.

Incidentally, the URL provided is the address for the PC I'm using, which does not have a web server. Why is Fing Desktop directing me to the address of my own PC?

You need to enter the IP address on the device browser which is being misidentified by Fing app so it can be updated.

    I'm not following you:

    1. What does "device browser" refer to?

    2. What should I expect to see when I go to the IP address provided (http://192.168.1.2:1034)?

    3. What is the significance of the 1034 appended to the IPv4 address?

    4. Why is Fing Desktop providing the http://192.168.1.2:1034 address for every device in the device list when I try to use automatic recognition?
