Health check code: W810

Under my Connectivity Health I have the following warning:
"You reach Internet, but you should check some potential issue. Health check code: W810"
I haven't found out anything about how to resolve this or what W810 means.
I recently resolved a connectivity issue by disabling my PC's OEM network connection and installing a new PCIe 1GB LAN card.
Windows 10 / Dell Optiplex 9020MT, hardwired connection running over CAT5.
LAN connection is rock-solid with the new PCIe NIC.

Hi @Mike1978
Our developers are aware of the warning and we are working on fix. We are trying to investigate what is causing this alert. The fix will soon release with the new version of Fing desktop.
In meantime, if you can help us investigate by letting us know if you are using any VPN or Antivirus? Did you whitelist Fing desktop if you are using Fing desktop?
Also, did you try to ping the website and see if there is reply for those websites which are causing alert on Fing desktop?Robin (Admin at Fing)

Thanks for the info @Denise_M
If the new version shows the same error then let me know the O.S, Antivirus installed, Any VPN used, Ethernet or Wireless connection so I can investigate better?

Hi Robin,Here's some more info: I'm using Fing 2.7.0 desktop
Windows version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1348).
Anti-virus is Webroot Secure Anywhere CE 21.4, ver 9.031.84. Webroot "Firewall", "Web Shield", and "Realtime Shield" are all enabled.
No VPN
Hardwired to the LAN
I just updated my connectivity health check and still see this warning message about custom targets are not reachable.
Information about health check: 810Custom targets are not reachable https://wikipedia.org and https://youtube.com. Error: SSL Handshake failed: certificate verify failed
I have two different Dell Optiplex desktop PCs with identical OS/AV/Fing ver., etc., but not the same Optiplex model number. One is ~6 years old, the other about three.
However, both have the error message.0 -
Having the same issue mentioned here. You reach Internet, but you should check some potential issue. Health check code: W810.

Hey @Robin_from_Fing!
Also having the same issue mentioned here:Today it added netflix.com in the list of sites it can't reach. All of those are pingables.
And then, at times, I get this one as well : You reach Internet, but you should check some potential issue. Health check code: W806-W810.
I'm noticing that it's happening whether I'm connected with Ethernet cable or WI-FI.
- MacOS Monterey 12.0.1.
- Fing 2.7.1. desktop for Mac.
- ESET EndPoint Security running
- Ethernet connection via Thunderbolt adapter
- Wi-Fi
Lately, Safari has been very very slow too. Takes forever to load a page, even in anonymous mode. I cleaned the cache, history, turned-off the extensions but still the same. Switched to Chrome and it's running flawlessly.
Just stating everything here in case it helps.
Thanks0 -
Thanks @Serge
We are already investigating this issue and I will pass on the feedback to our developers for review. Thanks again

Only issue that I can find with Wikipedia.org cert is "Heartbleed Vulnerability - unknown error occurred while scanning..." I assume that they have not properly implemented OpenSSL0 -
I'm running Fing 2.8.0, have no VPN...my configuration has not changed since I first reported this issue in November.
I've tried deleting the custom targets numerous times since then. Fing just add the custom targets back. It's as if https://wikipedia.organd https://youtube.com are hardcoded. I was able to add and remove OTHER URLs, but those are always there, and it's keeps choking onwikipedia.org

I just can't seem to kill this beast. Deleted Fing Desktop app, reinstalled it. Still chokes onCustom targets are not reachable wikipedia.org is not reachable, error: SSL Handshake failed: certificate verify failed
I tried deleting the targets and both Wikipedia and YouTube keep coming back.0 -

Our engineers are working on a fix but in meantime, you can edit the custom websites and remove the web links so that you wont any warning once the health check is completed.Robin (Admin at Fing)

I too am seeing this issue. I have been tracking this thread for months now. I can "ping ibm.com" and I can reach the site from my laptop, but I still get a nightly error saying that "You reach Internet, but you should check some potential issue. Health check code: W810."
Not that this is a deal-breaker, I just would like to see a clean run unless I genuinely have a real network issue0 -
Hi All,
I understand it is taking some time while fixing some issues but we can confirm that we are acting quickly on this and soon the fix will be released. Thanks all for your support.Robin (Admin at Fing)
