Free trial on iOS not available on MacOS

Hi, just signed up on my iPhone for the free 7 day trial. I followed the link to download the Mac app. Installed that app and signed in using same email address, but can’t see the premium subscription in the Mac app. I signed up to the trial using my real Apple ID email address. Thanks.
