Fing 11.5.0 for iOS Beta Testing

Dear all.

Fing 11.5.0 is in beta test now. Anybody wishing to try out the new version can join the iOS Community Beta team using TestFlight at the following address

What's new?

• A new Security tab shows new and unconfirmed devices to keep track of potential intruders. You can review the timeline of the when each device joined the network for the first time.

• All security features (Notifications, Autoblock, Digital Fence and more) are now accessible from the "Security" tab
* Alerts on new devices has now a dedicated view to access more quickly this important setting

• Bugfixes and improvements

When you are away from home why does fing on iPad OS not connect automatically to the fingbox associated with your account the same way fing on Android does?

I can click “My Networks” then see devices on my home network but can not interact with them (such as ping, port scan, etc) like I can on Android. I also don’t get notifications when my wife or son leaves or arrives like I do on Android while away from home.

It also won’t report the name of the access point I’m connected to, it says “Tap to identify access point” which does nothing.

I’m running 11.5.0 from TestFlight.

Any thoughts @marco_from_fing @Robin_from_Fing ?

When you are on a remote location, what network does Fing automatically connects to? I may need to investigate this on my iPad. Can you DM me with your Fingbox MAC and I will try to recreate this. Thanks.

On Android it connects to the fingbox at my home, on iPad it doesn't.

I have messaged you the MAC.

I ran it through the translator and it failed, just repeated the word without translation 😂

It worked for me. You may need to select the option as "Portuguese" instead of Chinese and then it will work

Your Fingbox device filtering still doesn't work making the app completely useless for Fingbox users.

Apologies for the inconvenience with that issue. Our development team are actively investigating it and we are hoping to have it resolved for our next release.
