Unable to Activate Fingbox purchased from Amazon "Fingbox already active"

I purchased a Fingbox from Fing via Amazon Warehouses (Amazon Warehouses sells barely used returns). When I try to activate the Fingbox, I get the error "FIngbox already active. You must be signed in with the same Fing account to use it. You are currently signed in as [email protected]"

Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried resetting the box but I still get the error. I'm about to return the box back to Amazon shortly.

    @nigerianking, if you have not sent it back yet, someone from Fing can help you.  Sorry I missed this one. This is not uncommon with used Fingboxes.  You would need to prove ownership privately with Fing once they reach out and they can reset it.  I am tagging @robin from Fing in case you still have it and need help.

    Just wanted to put out there that I am truly disappointed in the amount of time it takes for fing support to get back to customers. 😑
    To update, I have replied to you via your support ticket. During the weekends, the support team is not available hence there is delay in replying. Please check your mail. Thanks

    If you have purchased a new product and you have received a used product then in this case, instead of deactivating the Fingbox, I would advise returning the product to Amazon and get a replacement.

    I purchased it used from Amazon through Amazon Warehouses, a service where Amazon resells returns at a discount. So far I haven't been able to use the box for 4 days now. If I cannot use it please let me know and it'll return it tomorrow. Thanks.

    @Robin, think of it as someone buying a used item where the previous owner had not deregistered it.  In this case @nigerianking is the new owner.

    Thank you! It is now giving me the option to add my fingbox, however a new issue has arised. I get the message "Fingbox detected. A fingbox is ready to be activated on this network. Do you want to activate now?" When I select "Activate" it says "looking for fingbox. The light on the top circle shall be green. It may take a few minutes." The light does infact turn green but it blinks green off and on. It has been blinking green for the entire day today without activating. I tried cancelling and restarting the process. I also tried adjusting my settings based on the settings you sent in your email but i'm still getting the same thing.  I will let it pulsate green overnight and see what happens as I read in one of the discussions from someone going through a similar issue that his starting working on it's own after several hours, so we shall see I guess, unless anyone has any workarounds? Thanks
