How up to date is the CLI?

How up to date and maintained is the CLI toolkit? https://www.fing.com/products/development-toolkit

I ask as the documentation refers to the new systemd system and still suggests creating an init.d script for running a service on linux.

I want to replicate the tests done by the desktop app to monitor for loss of connectivity via an RPi. If the toolkit is out of date and not really maintained, I won't bother.

    @baz123 and I we're using it a long time ago, but the service is coming down in UX, really sad reality...
