Reset my Fingbox

Hello I need help with resetting (the reset using the pin does not work). I do not remember what email my Fingbox is associated with but want to use a certain email.


Currently I am unable to add it to the fing app. I get the message that it is already activated.


Please let me know what is the process.

    @Robin ,@Ciaran A little more information. I tried the factor reset procedure from the forum post:

    I did see the white led flash and then stabilize. I waited really long before it tuned green. However, after I opened my fing app and tried to add the box, I still get the same error. Please advise.


    Regarding what email account I had used,.I was very certain that I had purchased using my gmail.com account.

    (I was one of the first ones who backed the project)

    Please let me know if you need any information to get this box reactivated.

    Hi Guys, continuing this thread, i walkedin thte office today to see my fingbox was pulsing orange,  no response from the app and showed that the last device update was 4 weeks ago.  
    I couldn't get it to do anything so i ended up resetting (power off paperclip in reset hole, power on hold for 30 seconds, yadda yadda yadda.  No joy, did some searching in google and on these forums and got much the same result, follow these steps, change the power supply and network cable etc etc, have done all of that. 
    I ended up with my device just showing a single white LED, i left it for a while with no change to the status. I power cycled a few times and it came up with a GREEN LED (not flashing) still not able to do anything with it, after a while the GREEN went away and we wer eback to the single white LED, about 30 minutes on frim that and i'm back to the Pulsating ORANGE.  
    Anyone have any clues as to what i can do or is my Fingbox now a brick?

    I am having the same issue. Power had been off and when turned back on I had orange flashing lights. Reset box and now have green lights. Cannot do anything with it. Thanks

    Hi All,
    Our engineering team have advised us that in effort to resolve the issue our Engineers are now copying the data from the old disk (of the affected shard) to a brand new disk. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue.
    In meantime, I would advise you not to reset your Fingbox as it may put much strain on storage volumes because Fingbox needs to connect to Fing app and then it will update to the latest firmware and much more. This may produce a delay in setting up the new shard in AWS correctly.
    Please refrain from resetting your Finbgox. Thank you all for your patience.

    Hello. I bought a used Fingbox v1 on ebay. I did a hard reset on it when I received it prior to placing on my network.

    My problem is that I cannot add it to my account because the Fingbox says I need to log in with the original account... it is still associated with the seller's account... who is unresponsive.

    Is there another avenue that Fing support can reassign the box to my account if I show proof of purchase?

    Any thoughts?
