Which SSIDs are monitored?

I recently switched from a V1 to V2 Fingbox in a home network that has 3 access points ( 1 of which provides a Guest Wi-Fi).

Each WAP has two SSIDs one for 2.4GHz and one with the sane nane and '5GHz' suffix because I prefer to manually be in control over which band I attach to at all times.

Here's are the questions I'd love help on if anyone can chime in please?

Does the V2 Fingbox monitor the 2,4GHz band SSID of an access point it's plugged into, the 5GHz band SSID of an access point it's connected to or both when they have different SSIDs by default?

Secondly, if all my 3 chained wireless routers are operating in access point mode how many Fingboxes would I need to cover the 6 SSIDs fully & would I need another to monitor the 2 quest network SSIDs?

If I put these wi-fi routers into router mode and essentially have 3 separate local networks 182.168.1..., 192.168.0.... & 10.0.0... + a guest network on one with the same 8 SSIDs would that number of Fingboxes remain the same?

Sorry for the wall of text!

Lastly, before I plug something into it will the USB port provided on a Fingbox that currently seems to have no use output power?

    Hi @SRP, the V2 can cover either band however, it can only monitor 1 SSID or network.  You would need one per SSID to cover everything.

    Everything on a single network should be discoverable assuming they can all be pinged and accessed from the Fingbox.

    Thanks so much Marc. That's sort of what I was suspecting. The LAN part as it's currently all on one network would be covered by a single Fingbox correct? However, to do full wifi monitoring over 8 SSIDs would require 8 Fingboxes.Is it easy to setup which SSID each Fingbox searches to monitor when adding them - is this effectively the SSID the Fing App is connected to when you hit Add Fingbox?

    Do others tend to go this far at all or do they just get a Fingbox per DHCP gateway that is providing local IP addresses?
