Hi @SuperMario. The Fing agent is the service used to monitor your network for the Fing Desktop application. Now why its waking your system up every few minutes is a good question. Tagging @Robin from Fing to see if he can point out a way to resolve this it.Thats Daphnee, she's a good dog...0

Thanks @Marc
I am seeking further advice on this and will try to replicate this. As far as I tested on different Windows machine, I was not able to replicate the issue.
@SuperMario
Are you using any other application which may wake your device?Robin (Admin at Fing)

The windows event viewer clearly says that fingagent.exe wakes up the computer, in fact deactivating the service no longer happens.
Of course, desktop fing doesn't work now.0 -

If your Fing desktop is not working then please follow these steps below. With the new version, we have replaced winPcap with NpCap. I would like you to follow these steps and the issue should be resolved.-> Uninstall WinpCap using Revo(if possible)
-> Disable the Npcap driver service and then uninstalled the program. To disable NpCap:
1 Run this command as an admin: sc.exe config npcap start= disable
2 Uninstall Npcap-> Reboot your device to safe mode with networking
->Download and install new Fing desktop version and then open it.
-> Reboot to normal mode and then check if it works for you.
I will be looking forward to your reply.

Find desktop is not working because i have deactivated the service, there is no need to do all those things... if i reactivate the service, fing desktop will definitely work again

@SuperMario Can you share the log files to investigate this:
To access the agent log files:Click on the Fing Desktop version in the bottom-left hand side of the screen
This will display two folders to open. We will need specific files from each of these folders.
Firstly, click on 'Open App Log Folder'
When the folder opens, we will now need to compress and share the log.log file (titled 'log' - all lowercase). To compress and share: right click on the file; choose 'Send to' & then choose 'Compressed zip folder'.
Back in Fing Desktop, now click on the 2nd folder 'Open Service Log Folder'
Compress all files inside the Service Log folder and follow the same process as previous.
Please attach both compressed files and DM @Ciaran or attach zip files in this post. Thanks
