Fing Speedtest with Deutsche Telekom is completely wrong
Hi, I´m using FingBox since 2 days in hope to monitor my provider Deutsche Telekom.
Telekom says that there are 250 Mbit downloads and 50 Mbit uploads on the fiber optic modem. However, the Fing mlab speed test only ever measures 1 - 2 Mbit download and 50 Mbit upload. Same on the direct mlab page. If I use the speed test via my browser at Telekom, I get around 100 Mbit. Do you know where the big difference comes from?
My fing box is also recognized by the router with 100Mbit. It is connected directly to the router.
Hope someone will have an answer.

Hey @MichaelH, If you're seeing the same behavior between mlabs and Fing, as least we know Fing is working as it should. I went to mlabs web site and there is a troubleshooting section you can use and a way to report this to them .. https://support.measurementlab.net/help/en-us/6-measurement-services/14-how-do-i-report-issues-with-m-lab-tests
I guess another question to ask is if you also tried another service like Speedtest.net ?
@Robin, anything else you can think of to help @MichaelH?Thats Daphnee, she's a good dog...5 -
Thanks @Marc
I think you got it covered pretty much. If @MichaelH you can go the M-lab speed test page from the same device and get similar results then our API is working fine as per our integration with M-lab.
