Fing Desktop auto updates, even when you click cancel? Really?

On WIN10, the fing desktop, on load, checks for updates. This is good, except I may actually be doing something when the "update available" notification pops up. Less good. This is a modal notification, which means you MUST interact with it. At best, that is lazy coding, at worst ...unprintable expletive....! And just for fun, no matter how you try to dismiss it, ie: cancel, red X, alt-f4, alt-tab... it always assumes you have accepted the update offer, closes the app without saving, and executes the update/install. I shall watch with great interest while nothing is done to fix this...again...still...yet more......

    Hi @markinark
Fing desktop automatically connects to its cloud servers and as soon as there is some update then Fing desktop will automatically update it. Even if you try to cancel the update or close it, as soon as you will try to use the Fing desktop, it will be updated again. This is the default nature of Fing desktop. As of now there is no workaround for this. May I know why you don't want to use the latest version?

This is why I hate using bulletin board systems for questions. And I am going to try not to sound like the pedantic ankle-biting a**hole found on twitter... but I will probably fail at that.
My post clearly said," except I may actually be doing something when the "update available" notification pops up.
and, "no matter how you try to dismiss it, ie: cancel, red X, alt-f4, alt-tab... it always assumes you have accepted the update offer, closes the app without saving, and executes the update/install.
So let us try this again... I open the app, because I have made a change in my network. I begin entering new data in the app, while in the background, the app is contacting the server. Yes. I know. I get that. Fine. Good. Expected behaviour. The problem is that having gotten a fair way into new data entry (fast typing on the keyboard), the update popup appears and NO MATTER WHAT YOU CLICK, THE APP CLOSES WITHOUT WARNING AND UPDATES...LOSING ALL OF THE DATA I HAVE ALREADY ENTERED!!!!! How about the app accepts the cancel, and waits for ME to finish the lines I am typing, and then having been politely notified of an update,  I will click on the update now button elsewhere in the app. How about the code and parse user input correctly.
I could start the app, the walk away, brew some coffee, wash  the car, build a house...while I am waiting for a server call to complete, but this is not 1972. Networks are faster. Code can be interactive. I just want the button object labeled cancel to actually DO what the label says...cancel.
And just for giggles, this behaviour happens on Win10, Win7, and Win 8.1 (yep, I have one machine running that abomination just for code compatibility verification.)
