ISP number of hops to the internet

Hi, when I do a trace route to a national host, it seems most of the time is spent in my ISP’s infrastructure over 6-7 hops out of 10,
is this normal, and shouldn’t the ISP have a simpler infrastructure?
is that something, that the Fingbox could analyze?
kind regards
Steen

Thanks for the post @Steen_dB
The traceroute works in the same way as it will work on the Windows PC with the command:
# tracert www.google.com
The command will start from the router(host) to the destination. You can check the same command from your PC and Fing App and if you see different results, please let me know. To address if that is normal, you can verify this with your ISP and see what they advice.
