iOS app shows duplicate notifications for each event detected by my Fingbox

in Fing App
I always get two notifications from the app whenever my Fingbox e.g. detects a new device joining my network or a known device arrives or departs. Is this a known problem? Does anyone else experience it?
I'm using Fing app v 8.3.1 on iPhone 7 running iOS 12.4 , with a Fingbox v 1.14.5

Do you only receive two notifications when you're mobile device is connected to your LAN?"There's a fine line between audacity and idiocy."

The notification setup seems to be fairly typical for iOS apps, so I'm not sure qhat other configuration is possible. I always get two notifications for each event, even if I am not currently connected to my LAN. I will try your suggestion of reinstalling the app to see if that fixes it.

There was an inconsistency detected which our support team corrected. Could you check the progress over the next few days and report back here if everything is solved? Thanks for your help.

Seems to be working now again OK after an app reinstall. I didn't see any notifications initially (yesterday) but they are working fine today. Thanks for your help!
