Desktop fails to identify source of connectivity in MacOS when bridging (internet sharing)

Reproducibility. Connect to lan or wan. share internet with another port (in my case a raspbian on usb, can be ethernet or anything), launch fing desktop or observe in already running fing, that a bridge is now detected in lieu of the "input" connection.  Desktop fails because it's looking for the or whatever local bridge address. 
Proposed solution, detect bridge mode (internet sharing), figure out which is the correct subnet to scan for fing desktop purposes (it could be all active?). Please fix asap, major pita to have to use other network scanners which do work to do the job fing desktop was designed to do
