Consider replacing WinPcap with Npcap

For the Windows desktop app, you should really replace using WinPcap with Npcap.  Microsoft hasn't updated WinPcap since 2013 and is no longer supporting it.  Npcap can be installed in WinPcap compatibility mode which would not require any code changes to the Fing application.  You should at least have a look at it. https://nmap.org/npcap/

Good Stuff @PeterP ...   I upvoted and it might help if you did as well.  Just click the up arrow in your original message.

This chart from your article hit home on the topic...  Only issue I could see is the licensing change to Free for personal use versus BSD style and what that would mean financially for Fing.

I've updated Fing since this post. Is this why Npcap is now installed?
If so, is there anything else that Fing has put on my computer that I didn't knowingly install that might concern me out to find about without previous knowledge of?
