Background service CPU usage

I have noticed a small but annoying issue with the Windows Desktop App. When I startup my PC in the morning, the Fing background service processes will consume 4% - 5% CPU forever unless I open the GUI. Once I open the GUI, look at the report or recent scan, and then close, the service processes drop back to almost nothing as they should. I realize that these services need to do some work periodically, and I assume this is timer and/or event driven, but most of the time they should be in a "waiting" state and not consuming any CPU. Opening the GUI one time fixes this, but that should not be necessary. This is a task manager screenshot before opening the GUI.

This after opening then closing the GUI
