Folks,
Are there any known fingbox outages?  My fingbox claims it can't reach the internet (solid orange / pulsing orange), and there's no connectivity issues that I can detect.

The ring light on my unit is pulsating an orange light. It flashes twice then is steady for a couple seconds then repeats. I can access the unit through the app but it seems to not do anything. Plus there is no listing of users anymore.

normally when fingbox is flashing orange like that, there's no internet-connection. Maybe internet is not available or some needed ports are blocked by firewall.
But when u could access fingbox through app, sth went wrong, i think.
What will happen, if you restart the fingbox through unplug power supply for a few seconds?

    Thanks @mozarella.
    Hey there @Darkmon.
Could you follow these steps to troubleshoot and report back?
    Troubleshoot:
    1. Make sure that Universal Plug and Play [UPnP] turned on in your router
    2. Make sure you have ports 80, 443, 4443, 5671 open so the Fingbox can connect to the Fing Software servers.
(If you are going to run a speed test, please also have ports 3001, 3002, and 3003 enabled also)
After this is verified, please power cycle your Fingbox by unplugging and re-plugging the Fingbox.
Then, if that doesn't work, please report back here and I'll advise the next steps!
    Cheers,
    Violet

I was able to correct the issue by unplugging and plugging it back in. All seems to be working fine at the moment. Thank you for the input.

Evening all, I’m running a USG Pro and have IDS/IPS active, whilst this does give many false positives but this is a new one for me as it effects the Fingbox itself.

Something happened yesterday to trigger this, any thoughts?

Are you running something with torrent on that destination ip.  that will cause these alerts on unifi ips.

It might be false recognition for the destination port.
I looked for that port in https://www.adminsub.net/tcp-udp-port-finder/54778 and it used by Apple

    Hi all,
My fingbox suddenly stopped working - I have tried rebooting the device different cables but it is just dead. What to do?

Hi @Mr_Fox, I am sorry to hear. I have sent you a private mail (we will need to get more information off of you to further investigate e.g. e-mail & MAC address).

    Hi,
My Fingbox is connected to my network, and seems operational as its light is blue, but the Fing app isn't showing the 'pause internet' functionality.
In the account settings, I can see the option to 'Add Fingbox'.
When I click that, after a while the Fingbox shows up, but the app says it's already active, and that I 'should be logged in to the same Fing account to use it. Now you're logged in as <myemailaddress>'.
    What am I missing here?

    Kind regards,
    Katrien

When it says you are logged in to your email, is it the same email address you used when you setup Fingbox?

I have a weird issue going on from this morning.
    1. Fingbox is blinking red even though the internet is working
    2. Fing app in mobile is not refreshing the devices.
    3. Fing desktop app shows real-time devices and says it's connected to the internet.

Same here. I just tried to add another device, which I can't find on the iOS app (and that is really slow at the moment too), but the desktop app says all is fine! Must be a system issue. Hopefully resolved soon :-)

Interesting note. I just noticed the fingbox was flashing the blue, suggesting it knew about my new device, and wanted confirmation about it. Just as soon as it did this, it went back to orange.
Can Fing add a network status (as in yours not ours) to the web page so it is easy to see if you are having some kind of issue? Cheers
