Excellent! Thank you. Just one comment regarding all the buzz about the FIng Desktop. Until I went to the download section, I didn't know if there was a MAC version or not. I saw the MAC laptop, so I thought it might be. But for those who don't know, it would be good to say it's for both Windows & MAC. That's a good seeling point

For Windows, you can use the Fing Desktop instead of Fing App and that is the main aim of the Fing Desktop application. For more information on Fing Desktop, please refer to this thread.

Just downloaded the app and took a quick look.  One minor thing I notice--the installation adds Fing to the Windows start-up.  Typically, I would prefer not to have additional startup programs that slow things down, so I have removed the app and will launch it when I need it.  Is there some advantage to have the app always running in the background?

The benefit of adding the application to run in background is that it will scan the network for any changes and will notify you. You can disable the feature as well from the Fing Desktop preferences.

Yes, of course, now I understand.  Since I have Fing running on both my iPhone and my iPad, I don’t need an additional device monitoring the network.  I have disabled the auto launch at startup.

After attempting to download the desktop version, the connection to fails and says the destination cannot be found.

Can you please make sure your internet connection is stable and then download the Fing Dekstop? Also, Can you try to use different browser as well?

Security professionals may be interested in administering fing box(es).  Any chance we'll see Fing Desktop for Linux?  Distros that come to mind:  Qubes OS, Blackarch, Kali and Unbuntu / Mint
