Hello, I commented on another post with this issue and didn't get a response as of yet so I'm going to re ask here. My Fingbox used to display my ISP correctly and now is not. I have a really small ISP called Nelsonville T.V & Cable Company/Net Jet. Anyways, it's displaying Spectrum Business now? Spectrum does not even provide services where I live. What can be done to remidy this?

Hi @jwoods7947
Thanks for your post. For ISP name detection, I would like to tell you that we use GEOIP2 City Database API by MaxMind. And they update their database every week. If the Fing App shows a different ISP name rather than what you use, It is because the same name is picked up GEOIP2 City Database.

It used to display the correct info? Now its also saying I'm on Spectrum Business Internet?? I understand this is a minor issue and mostly cosmetic but it bother me every time I see it and the Live map for outages isn't correct either now.0

You can submit a form to correct this issue here: https://support.maxmind.com/geoip-data-correction-request/correct-a-geoip-isp-or-organization/#wpcf7-f2121-p2120-o1 I am assuming maybe Spectrum has similar i.p addressing or something is why it switched over in my case. I also am a business that operates out of home and maybe that had something to do with it?1
