I have Chromecast Ultra connected via wired ethernet cable. Google Home app device info of MAC address is different from the MAC address is identified by Fing and Asus RT-AC86U router (both Fing and Router has same MAC address)…

I initially connected Chromecast with wifi as intructed then connected it to ethernet connection.

Any idea why?

I have a Chromecast Ultra connected via wired ethernet cable but I noticed that in the Google Home app the device info MAC address is different from Fing and my Asus RT-AC86U. BOTH Fing and my Router are showing same MAC address but the Google Home app is different. All 3 shows the same IP address. Called Chromecast support but my issue got referred to higher level tech support but I have not heard from them for any issue resolution or answers. Can anyone here help me please.

    Thank you much

It has two MAC addresses since it's dual band, the home app is showing either the 2.4ghz or 5ghz radio MAC depending on which you used during setup.

    Thanks.

I set up the Chromecast Ultra on 5ghz wifi during set up but after setup I've connected it via wired connection and set my router on all my wired device connections on MAC filtered.

On the Google Home app it's still showing a different MAC address from my Router and Fing identified MAC address.
