Unclear on compatibility of Fingbox v2 with Google WiFi

Hi all!  I just received a Fingbox v2 as an early XMas present and am finding that within the Fing app the WiFi Performance is not working.  I keep getting the attached error.  I have read here there was an issue with using more than two access points in a mesh WiFi setup like Google’s.  Is this still the case?  If so, is there a fix in development?

Thanks!
Jon

Hi @Bumptronic ,  as far as I know Google Wifi mesh is compatible with Fing. The way they usually tell you to set up Fingbox with a mesh network if your having trouble is to attach to each node and do a scan.  See if that helps.

Interesting. Ok I’ll give that a shot and report back. Thanks!

    Also, I’m a mod?

Not sure if this helps, but I found this, in the KB (Knowledge Base):
"It also works with two Google Wi-Fi mesh networks."

I’m trying to figure out the Mod thing too. I emailed the fing folks for clarification.

Hi All. Thanks for reporting.  This is a display issue. I have looked into this issue and yes, it appears as if an error has occurred over the weekend whereby users are being displayed as 'Moderators' (but not having moderator permissions).
I have escalated this issue to our Community Platform partners to query why users are being displayed as 'Moderators' despite not having Moderator permissions.
Apologies for the confusion and thank you for reporting. I will update the Community publicly when this display issue is resolved.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.  I managed to fix the issue.

I first attempted to connect my Fingbox to each access point, but the issue remained.  It wasn't only until after I deactivated my Fingbox, uninstalled the app, and started over again that everything worked.  Maybe it was because I had the Fing app long before I had the Fingbox?  Anyways, hope this helps if anyone encounters the same issue.
