Finger, Fingerpicking Autocorrect Woes

This problem keeps me up at night. What can I do on my Mac browser (pick a browser, i don't care which one) to stop suggesting "finger", "fingerpick", "fingerpicking", "fingbox", etc spelling completions for "fing"?
I've not figured out how to get this serious world problem fixed!

Let's see if anyone has any good fixes! I've promoted this one too.

There should be a configuration option to disable 'suggestions' within any browser.  Let me do some digging and see what I can find for you.

(edit: added a few links that may help.)

Turning it off all predictive/auto-correction seems like a nuclear option. I wonder if it's possible to add "fing" to your dictionary?

It is considered a double-edged sword, for sure.  Along with the idea of disabling it, should be a means to add it to the local database as well.  Or at least one would hope that option exists.

My bad. I thought including "serious world problem" would help others see this as a humorous post.
I'm aware the "turning it all off" approach, but thanks to (@kitaylor)  those who offered their help
