Hello all,

In light of some recent information we got this week, we’ve implemented a new part of the engine for getting MAC addresses device information on Android 10.

If you have Android 10, we’d love you to join the beta test.

Join the Android 10 Beta Test

This is great news for all Fing Android users and we’re really keen to get this tested.

Please post your questions, comments and findings in the discussion below, making sure to post which device brand and model the fix work (or doesn’t work) on. We’re looking to ensure this fix gets the MAC address information about your devices.

We appreciate your help with testing.

Cheers,

Violet

Yep, can confirm MAC address randomized phone is properly detected (Pixel 3 XL). I deactivated randomization and it assigned a new device alltogether though, which did detect properly with MAC address and device name. Not a big issue, as I won't be deactivating randomization often. Just thought I'd mention it.

Installed it earlier today, so far so good on Google pixel 3 xl with Android 10.

    Hi, everyone
Just to add another report: using Android 10 on a OnePlus device, the Fing Beta got MAC Addressses back!
Great work from the team, and special thanks to @Pat_R for the initial call-out.

Sadly for me, I have no Android 10 device to test xD.  But it's good to read it's working fine!
    Keep looking up!

If we have the beta version installed, do we need to do anything? Do we remain opted in to beta?

@Fasuloj sorry for my delay. I was checking with developers on this because I do not myself have Android.
Betas are superseded by official releases automatically.
When we publish new betas, you will also get the update.
Hoping that clears things up for you.
