Ring Doorbell 2: Should Fing app (no Fingbox) recognize/ID this device?





Fing sees device. “Generic 10.0.1.4”—assume it is Ring as it is only active unidentified device.

It could be that we are not able to gain access to the ARP table - making us unable to recognize the device?
Are you using iOS 11 or Android 10 +?
Access to the ARP table is blocked on those operating systems and above.

We are coming out with PC/MAC versions very soon - and then this will help.
