Wrong ISP

I’m setting up access points I’m using fing and it’s working fine and all the information seems correct except it says the ISP says my phone company not the ISP for that the access points should be using which is Comcast.

Is there a reason it would be doing this?

What type of internet connection are we talking about?  If it's DSL, then yes I would agree that it's through the phone company, however it's not uncommon for companies to sub-lease internet bandwidth from the larger 'box companies'.  It happens more than you may realize actually.
What ISP company do you use and what ype of connection is it?

    Hi @Angelique1
For ISP name detection, we use GEOIP2 City Database API by MaxMind. And they update their database every week. If the Fing App shows a different ISP name rather than what you use, It is because the same name is picked up GEOIP2 City Database. Could you let us know in a week if anything is changed?

Or another possibility - is that is the name used by Comcast for your provider there...

I am having the same issue. My ISP is showing Spectrum and my provider is Nelsonville TV & Cable ( not a big ISP, located in Nelsonville Oh). But it was showing correctly a while ago when I first got my Fing.

You can submit a correction here: https://support.maxmind.com/geoip-data-correction-request/correct-a-geoip-isp-or-organization/#wpcf7-f2121-p2120-o1 Hope this helps as Fing cant make these corrections.
